Re: swirl paint jobs

There's always Herc Fede, and on here, there's SCS (Sims Custom Shop in Tennesee), and I've also been extremely impressed with the Richard Fay swirls.

It's really a matter of taste, I think you will find they are all reputable, though price and wait time may vary signifigantly.

Re: swirl paint jobs

All though Fede's swirls are legendary, you could be looking at a 1 to 2+ year wait, that is if he's even taking orders at the moment, not to mention the price would be around 2x what SCS or Fay would charge you..

Im pretty sure that Rich (Fay) can do those inlays.....
but the fingerboard in the picture is a genuine VAI2K DNA fingerboard....

I suggest you look out for threads by Serratus or atheesan0802 on Jemsite...
Serratus is Rich and atheesan0802 has comissioned him to do a custom DNA fingerboard !
im personally very much looking forward to the results !

Re: swirl paint jobs

I love the red "Bloodline" swirl on the Richard Fay site, I was looking at his site the other day, I think I may get one eventually.

Re: swirl paint jobs

as i'm finishing up my current projects, i'm planning to try my hand at a swirl for the next one.
Sims (TN) is really getting good at his swirls and you can't beat his price and service with far less of a wait time than some of the more known swirlers. keep us posted on what you end up doing and how the progress goes towards the finished masterpiece.
