Swirled my guitars - tell me your opinions

Hi again everyone,

Well I swirled the 3 guitar bodies I have. Pics here:

http://uk.f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/...bum?.dir=/d789

The PAW swirl is an RG7420 (I have the whole of this guitar - will be fitted with green Dimarzios and then sold), the PMC is an RG470 body which I acquired (although I did rout the trem cavity for an edge before I swirled it - will be sold later), and the purple one was a UV97bk which will stay mine - the pic isn't great of the Uni - it looks duller that it really is . I think the Uni should have pink and purple pickups/knobs, etc, to highlight the colours. They now need to be lacqered which I hope to do in the next few days, and then left for a while to dry before finishing.

Let me know what you think . Thanks - cheers for now

Hi,

Not bad ..but not great either...i hope they look much better with the clear coat...it seems that the black in the PAW has lots od bubbles..

and the PMC looks better in the back..

I know this is a dificult process , i tried once i was turned out pretty bad..and still my friends like it.. :P

i want to see the final products...

cheers

I actually really like it. Not bad at all for a first "real" time. Put it this way, I would let you swirl a guitar body of mine! Especially with you being in the UK. Once they are lacqered they should look better. The key with swirls is the pickups and the knobs. They need to be the right colour, and the strap too. This way they will complement the swirl and make it look ace. Let us know how it goes.

They're all good but the purple one is great! If you decide to sell it, look me up please.

Actually, i think those swirls really nice.
Anyway, you need better greens and a real HOT pink.
Try putting more SOLID color on it, to solve the 'transparence' issue.
But now you have a problem: the CLEAR COAT!
That means 70% or 80% of the whole work...
Keep trying and trainning
Good luck and keep up the good work, dude!

Pretty impressive for your first try.Better than my first twenty tries(I learn slowly sometimes). The clear should bring the colors out.Like most swirls, they look better when accessorized properly and assembled. If you used enamel,I would not use lacquer as a clear. It will lift the enamel.Keep it up!
