Team J Crafty?

Im looking to buy a JEM 7VW. I see some jems With Team J craft on the back of the neck. Is there a difference? Or are they all the same? Thanks for any info? Ken

It seems that the new jems to have different necks. Where the nut bolts on seems to be thicker and the skunk stripe runs through the neck now. That's about all i've seen on that. Someone might be able to offer better technical advice.

I'm not exactly sure of the time line, but at one point they switched from the scarf joint to the volute, and 3 piece to 5, which is what you want, this increase in quality probably happened with the addition of the J craft, and probably around the same time they dropped the ebony but in not 100% on this.

Pretty sure it was 04 when they went with the 5 piece J Craft necks. I used to be a die hard fan of the older Jem necks, but I absolutely love the new necks Better quality fret finishing and just a better feel all around (IMHO) They are a tad bit thinner than the older Jem necks, but not quite as thin as a DBK neck which is not quite as thin as a Wizard if that makes sense

The AANJ was introduced in 1993 with the unveiling of the Vwh. Great improvement over the heel joint!!! (again, IMHO)

AANJ was on the Maxxas and the VM long before the JEM, but 93' for the JEM.
