That JEM 7VWH will be mine soon!

I had it ordered at Axe Music because it's currently out of stock. It's 2,083 USD (brand new). I'm looking forward to having it.
But damn, they say it might be at least a month before they get more in stock! EEP!

I live in Edmonton at the moment.
Moving to Calgary in a few months.

I'm assuming you live in either because you're familiar with Axe?

myself and LGM Guitars reside right in between the two, in Red Deer.

What Axe did you order from? someone there is charging you retail bro. Call Jarod at Axe in Calgary.

I ordered from the Axe in Edmonton. Would I get some kind of discount if I called Jarod from the Axe in Calgary? Should I tell him "so and so" told me to talk to him?

well, call Jarod, and tell him Jeremy Ferguson in Red Deer told you to call. I don't know what they can do it for now, but, they should at least match guitar center's price which I THINK is $1599 or $1699US. If they won't do better than what you were quoted, try Rich Harris (Ibanez Rules) or let me know, I have a friend but try Jarod first, then try Rich, then call me if you can't find any better.

Darn. My dad already made the 3095 (CAN) deposit to Cliff... or Jeff... or whoever in Axe. I told him to try and get it back. Darn we both feel stupid now. Thanks for the info man. We'll do our best to get a lower price. If I can't get a lower price from Axe, then I'll go to IbanezRules. And if I'm not happy still, I'll give you a ring.

EDIT: Pfft... wow... IbanezRules has it for $2400!!

no, you need to email Rich at Ibanez Rules, $2400 is list, that's not what it sells for

notice it says list beside it? $2400 is what Ibanez says it SHOULD sell for, but other stores have it at $1799.

Ibanez Rules is in the US though. How would the shipping and import duties affect the price?

Do you think that Cliff or whoever would be willing to give back my dad's deposit? I'm really worried here. My dad says he's fine, but I really feel bad now. I'll talk to Rich.

EDIT: Are Ibanez Rule's prices in CAN or USD?

Ok, shipping and stuff, to Canada.

Shipping will probably be about $35US. (correct if I'm wrong Rich)
The downside is, you will pay 7% GST and 6% duty on a Japanese guitar. So add 13% to it. now, if you can convince Rich to ship it via post, you will probably get to avoid the 6% duty.

Jeez, I'm right here!

Depends on where in Canada but that's an average. Post no problem but Express alot more, ground ALOT slower. I only have one left though but it's one of those strong neck beasts, giving me only .25mm of relief.

Hey Rich. My dad will contact Jeremy tomorrow.
I'll keep posting here though just to keep in touch with what's going on. Hopefully I can get a better price that $3095 CAN.

Do you guys think that Axe would be willing to refund the $3095 if we decide to get the JEM from somewhere else? That's what's worrying me most.

Ignore that. I hadn't checked on it since it got here. I inspected it, completely loosened the truss rod, cranked it up to F# and let it sit. Just retuned and check it and it's at .6mm now
