At least black pickups are easier to trade if you want to swap out the standard pickups for different models (which could be custom coloured).

I like it, but am disappointed there isn't more color, like in the pups & the inlay. I'd change pups just for some color. It looks like block heel, which I prefer. Even though it's black, it at least doesn't have that goofy Vai sticker like the hardtail jem has. Still... enough with the black already Vai! Sheesh!

it's rather flat looking. i'd like it more with different shades of colors, or some light spots here and there. something like this:

No they did not talk anything about features of the guitars just stuff like "cool color dude blah blah..."

It's been stated many times in this thread that the "revolutionary" trem, whatever it is, is not on this new FP Jem.

For me it is interesting but not love at first site, will have to see if it grows on me. At the moment I'd say that I am more inclined to try the JS24000.
