If they had done this, the JEM77VBK design, color, etc, with an ebony board and the FX Edge like on the JS FX Edge-equipped model, that would have been EXACTLY what I want.

I have often almost pulled the trigger on a Mick Thomson for the FX Edge bridge, but I hate the way it looks...

I know! Cool, isn't it? I never knew until recently, when I saw him playing a Gibson G3 (my bass!). Then i read the interview on him. He seems like a really good bassist, seeing as he is playing a high end Lakland (in the photo too), and does lots of sessions work.

EDIT: Oh wait, it's not a Lakland. Just looked like one, and I've seen him with them before.

I've never understood why the FX Edge isn't used more extensively on Ibanez guitars...

I grabbed the Vai design video and did a frame by frame, didnt see any floral Jem but I did get these!

Unlike the Floral which fades to black at the edges of the body, this one looks like the pattern goes right to the edge and abruptly stops. I hope the pattern either fades or goes all around.
