The Bastard UV from Hell! (666k here to slay)

Been a long time coming, and it's taken 8 years since the idea, and 10-12months since getting all the base parts sorted out. It initially started out as a sorry mess, and needed a lot of work and new parts, but, eventually, it's got here.

To see the little story of how it started out, read this thread:

http://www.sevenstring.org/forum/sevenstring-guitars/70351-the-uv-bastardisation-project-thread.html

Anyway, here it is, specs:
-sims swamp ash uv/jem body
-uv7bk neck, with real screw head inlays, and 17-24th increasing fret scallop
-pickguard paradise pickguard (that needed a fair bit of modding to fit right)
- fernandes 7string sustainer
- dimarzio DS7 + Blaze single

And, a lot of credit to Rob at deadlight designs for getting the susstainer working, doing the scalloping, routing for the sustainer and the inlays

And finally, the pictures:

Re: The Bastard UV from Hell! (666k here to slay)

that's awesome! but is the sustainer supposed to remain covered in red that way?
I totally dig the screws inlays and the progressive scalloping. and the work of bursting (hope the spelling's right) is great.
btw the link to sevenstring doesn't work, or at least, doesn't work for me.

EDIT: you put in there http two times

the sustainer is going to get painted with a graphic, as it's a bit boring. It was white, but i accidentally stained it, so stained it all the way, but it isn't finished yet, got to do a few more things

Re: The Bastard UV from Hell! (666k here to slay)

Love it, it looks fantastic. I guess its a UV7BSR then. I like the screw inlays as there Pozi drive and not Philips. Where did you get them from? I did a Jem7BSB up a few years ago and loved doing it, busning the body and staining the body was great fun. Nice job........

Re: The Bastard UV from Hell! (666k here to slay)

screw inlays and the scalloping where done by rob at deadlight designs in south london, no idea where he got them from, but they are actual screw heads, so i guess you just buy the screws and saw the bottom off them, inlay them, and then put resin over the top!
