Not sure which way you're implying with this, but a 5 way selector clicks four times going from pos 1 to pos 5. Just as a 3 way would only click twice going from 1 to 3. The click occurring when you change position and whatnot. So a 4 way would click thrice, so that would be your instant fakeness test I assume. Although why they would make a mistake like that- when every 3 pickup guitar under the sun has a 5 way, and from what I can tell 4 way switches are only found on modded tele's- is beyond me.

No--I just tested it out on my LNG. It clicked 5 times, but that 5th click was more of a CLUNK.....and now it's broken......lol.

The wood seems to be something lightin color and relatively soft. I am not a wood expert, but it's solid, not plywood or MDF

I counted like this 1- move ,click 2 move click 3 move click 4 move click 5
But I admit I made a mistake here the chibanez switch is a 5 way switch , too... sorry

Yes, 5-way switches have 5 positions, but only move 4 times.
