Ok, it has been played on for 20 minutes or so and my thoughts are below.
The texture of the neck is wood, but it's very, very smooth and it's easy to glide on. I'm really loving the smooth feel of the wood.
The action on this is the absolute lowest on any guitar that I've tried before, so I'm actually going to have to adjust my picking and fretting. I'll have to fret a bit softer since the higher action made me fret harder on my other guitars.
The vibrato on it was a little hard for me to do since I'm used to either more or less tension on my other guitars, so I'll have to play around with it to get it just right. I kept either underbending or overbending the notes.
When I did try to do vibrato, for some reason I had a hard time getting my fingers to 'grip' the string to bend it. I'll have to play with it more and see what becomes of it. It might have something to do with the action being so low and me being used to action that's a tad higher.
The
tremolo bar moves at too fast of a speed when I let it go, so I'll have to fool with it to get it just a little more firm. From what I can tell, the flutter is great.
I won't say anything about the tone just yet since I have to play with it just a bit more. When I plucked the strings on it without it even being plugged in though, I could tell that this baby may have better tone than anything I've played on.
Now, this is the most absolutely important thing that I noticed on this guitar immediately after plugging in: note separation. When I sweep picked or did scale runs on this baby, the note separation was almost frightening

When I sweeped stuff, every single note that was played came out on its own and it didn't sound like a 'solid block', if you will; it sounds like a block but with many layers to it and the notes don't run into each other. Other than that, this baby is
quiet. Immediately, and I mean immediately when I stopped playing it, there was silence.... There's no open string noise when playing, no sounds of your hand rubbing on the strings, and no feedback. When I played riffs on it and then stopped, there isn't that extra bass/low end coming from my amp after stopping. Every chord played on this thing is sharp and precise, and you can actually hear every note that's being strummed at the same time individually, but all together, if you catch my drift.
I have more thoughts on this, but it will take a little more playing first.
