Anyway I'm from Israel, jemah is in the states and you are in Portugal so I guess theres bound to be some sort of language barrier.

I use a very coarse sanding paper, 80 grit i think ( thats the number printed on the back so...) with a handheld sanding machine to get most of the paint off. and then I switch to a lighter sand paper. The inside of the horns, the grip etc has to be done by hand.

Yes that is what I intend to do, no need to go overboard with this. The neck is going to get a thorough cleen-up and recleared. I'll also need to redo the headstock since it is scratched and worn, so if someone has a spare PMC decal or knows where I can get one, let me know

That looks cool the way it is.

No language barrier here...
Just stating that because of what the previous owner did to that guitar, he's burning in hell!

I put a lot of faith in you, I'm sure this baby will become alive again!

Ok, been a little productive this weekend. The lions claw looks a lot better

Notice the small wood repair on the side

Some more wood repair for the missing chunk of the neck joint heel

And the neck plate is shiny again

Re: The Jem ATD PMC Restore thread

it's cool that we're all here awaiting and hoping for her to get back kicking @sses! like parents in the waiting room waiting for the surgeon to tell them about their daughter under surgery. keep on the great work man! we're praying for her!

ps: i'd keep the logo as it is, ok it's scratched but not too much and it looks cool. or i'd wait stripping it down until i've got the exact PMC logo replica in my hands. please don't strip it until that moment.

Re: The Jem ATD PMC Restore thread

What is with the spat of people buying mongel Jems and UV's to restore at the moment?!
I mean 7DyingTrees bought one of the more hidious PAW's ive ever seen, and there was that PAW that was compleatly molested for sale either here or on ss.org...

Anyway whatever, that crap asside i dig your commitment man its a lot of fun taking a beat up guitar and working it into a playable and if possible eye catching machine of doom.
