Looks like you'll need to test the purple more though before the big dip. It looks like its "pushing" the other colors aside and fading out in the centre, and concentrating the other colors (I hope you know what I mean, as a fellow swirler).

I think its going to look great my friend!!!
Hi Ernie, happy new year. Yeah I know exactly what you mean. We all have to tackle the same issues eventually.
The purple started out as a standart RAL 4005 or 4006 (I'm not sure) mix of pigments, then it got a seconed dose of the same pigments minus the red to give it a deeper or richer look. It looked great in the paint can but when I tested it it was kind of blueish, so the paint guy add half a dose of the red pigment and that did the trick.
The guy that mix the paint for me is great and very "on board" with the whole swirling thing. We always start out with a standard RAL mixture and then experiment until we get exactly what I want.

Yeah, but that is for only 10 days, he can own the guitar for the rest of his life. The guitar is the better bargain and it has resale value!

Meh, I've travelled a bit, Europe a couple times, Aussie once, the USA. I would love having that guitar it's one of the nicest PMC's I've seen. It would only increase in value! as for the Hawaiian hottie, LOL I have the hottie dept covered.

Hey Avi, loved the PMC tests.
IMO, i love 'green and pink' PMC with only some drops of purple.
I'm sure your upcoming PMC swirl gonna rock!
Keep it up!

Re: The Jem ATD PMC Restore thread

You can see that it needs some more work done if you compare the shade of the scaloped frets to the rest of the neck, but I'm getting there.

And the body is ready for the big deep so I took some "artistic" pictures of it

We are ready for liftoff:

Hi Will, Thanks but I'm afraid I like it to have more purple then just a few drops here and there and not alot of pink, so I might have to let you down this time
I'll try to make up for the lack of pink with more green because the purple green combo is a killer. Hope you won't be too disappointed my friend
