The UNIVERSE has arrived.. I couldnt be happier

Well I know most will think im crazy but I traded my FP for a DEAD MINTY MINT MINT Universe with Chris777(thanks Chris)

I can say this I am so glad I did, Its 100% more for me.. I love it, Chris777 did one heck of a job keeping this guitar flawless over the last 3 years its amazing..

I am tortured right now cause I got 2 hrs to go at work before I can go home and jam till my fingers bleed. It was purchased by Chris777 from Rich so all the mods have been done and the action is so low its just unreal. Rich is incredible with what he can do to a guitar.

Anyways im jabbering but im so happy I am finally happy.. I got the Flagship of the seven strings and its just a pleasure to play..

WOW

Brett....

P.S. I will grab some pics when I get home, not like anyones never seen a Universe before LOL..

Re: The UNIVERSE has arrived.. I couldnt be happier

Congrats. I am in the process of getting a universe myself. Anyway, I have been following the threads about the whole deal and I don't think you are crazy. Guitars are ment to be played, so enjoy.

I think what is crazy is the price people are paying for florals(I know, whatever someone is willing to pay, blah, blah, blah). They are great guitars and I plan on buying one someday, but I refuse to pay $1,500+ for a used condition floral. I can understand the price points for the jem 10, PMC and DNA but come on, you know how many florals are out there.

I think you got an amazing deal at guitar center, but at the same time I think you paid around the price they should be going for.

Again I loved the looks of the Floral, and I did get a good deal but if your not happy theres no sense keeping something you dont like.

I know its in good hands and not sold to some schmuck on evilbay..

And I dont have a single regret, I couldnt of been happier with the end result..

1 hr to go at work and I can plug her in and really drool....

Re: The UNIVERSE has arrived.. I couldnt be happier

I know, what there worth, and im not in this to make money. I know I got what I wanted and Chris777 got what he wanted.

There isnt a thing stopping this Universe from being sold as new.. Its flawless.

Im not into ripping people off, or gouging prices, and even if I sold it for $1600-1800 I still wouldnt have enough for a new Universe so look at it that way..

On Evilbay mint 88-91 FPs have been selling for around 1100-1800

I know the last four went for
$1800
$1400
$1200
and
$1100

I watched them.. I mean I understand its highly sought after, but its hardly rare. Theres 5-8 FPs on Evilbay a week..

Don't credit me with anything. It's old enough that it's had many tweaks and adjustments since [or needs them], definitely needs maintanence [if it hasn't had any], and I forget when I started doing pro setups and ball fret ends on everything. Late 2004 I think, but that's an edumacated guess.

I am glad you like it though

It was an option for 2004 but by the 4th 1/4 I was doing everything whether ordered or not as a test for 05'.

Amazing, I DO have some memory cells left!
