Thinking of selling my UV - Tree of Life inlays

I dunno...

It's an amazing guitar, don't think I've seen a better condition used guitar...but it just doesn't get a worthwhile play from me... I don't know 7 string songs, don't use it in the band either. Just feels a waste... I think I want another Explorer?

Or maybe it just needs a good set up? I've since rectified that trem angle, totally flat, but now the strings seem to choke out a bit.

What should I do??

Thought I'd post it here, see if there's any offers..

Wouldn't want to ship to Oz unfortunately! Unless you were willing to pay the astronomical shipping rates! I presume it would be expensive anyways!

This isn't a for sale thread really... it's more of a "convince me to keep it, or make me an offer" thread haha.

The world implodes.

Or I'd say I'd like £1400 negotiable.

just so we're all on the same page, it isn't a 'make me an offer' thread. It can be a 'what should I sell this for if I was selling it?' thread though.

Anyway, that's a great looking UV! Is that a mirror vine, or just the way it came out in the pic? Looks like an ebony board as well; who did the work? Is this the one Jeremy at LGM did?

Well I get ya. I had the same UV777 with piramid inlays, mint. One of the most beautiful guitars I've ever owned... but didn't use the 7'th string, and besides that it bugged me a little in getting to master 6 strings which still is a long way to go. so I also sold it because found it a shame that it was just lying there in it's coffin.

Haha I dunno what it is! I think it started out as a "Shall I sell it?" thread, now it's a "Who wants to buy it?" thread haha. It was Jeremy yes. Chrome tree of life, ebony board. I only bought it a few months back.

Well, it is a stunning instrument any way you look at it. They all should have had ebony boards from the get go.

Just remember we have a dedicated classified section, so once you know what you'd like to get for it (if you decide to definitely sell it), place it for sale there. Lots of new sellers aren't aware of the rules of that section, so a few minutes here will definitely help you avoid mistakes there as well

Mate, if you do sell and maybe lower that price, I would be interested. I don't live that far from York, so I would probably be able to come and collect it from you. I think you should open a FS thread in the classifieds.

Im english based and I'd be interested in taking this off your hands in the next couple of months.

Got a new job, soon as the first months pay came through I'd buy this.
If you still have it by then that is.

I'm Reading based to internal UK shipping for ya, less hassle.

Paul

Oh and er PS, set your bridge properly for christ sake, it's right up in the air!

Still for sale, and I can hold it for you if you wish

And that bridge was "professionally" set up by a local shop! Haha, the wham bar hit the pickup selector for God's sake! I've since rectified it
