Thinking of selling my VSBL
hi all
i have a 2002 Vsbl..........in prestine condition...
with a ibanez hardcase
this one has the much prefered lo pro trem...
it has a personality of its own...
but due to me having to many guitars to play...the jem has become neglected
and wants a loving owner...who will play it everyday and give it the respect it deserves...
what sould i do keep it as a future investment or sell...
would be looking around £950-£1000
also is this price right for a prestine example

Re: Thinking of selling my VSBL
To quote a game show, the price is right. BUT, used sales are terrible at the moment so you'd probably only hit £900 tops. May be worth waiting for the rut to die down

Re: Thinking of selling my VSBL
Is this an actual "for sale" ad or just a I'm thinking of this being a "for sale" ad?

Re: Thinking of selling my VSBL
nice one
i thought the price range from £900-£1000 was about right
my vsbl is almost perfect in condition
it would be a awesome buy for someone...........
or again should i pack it up and store it
as these might become a collectors item...

Re: Thinking of selling my VSBL
If you can afford to keep it, do it.
Like I always say, unless
Steve Vai
gets caught being a pedo or something daft like that, Jem guitars should always hold their value at the VERY least.

Re: Thinking of selling my VSBL
DO NOT sell it right now. You'll lose big time. There are numerous reasons for this which I won't get into right now.
Wait until February or March depending on how long it takes for prices to bounce back.

And isn't it strange, the lull is global and not just happening in one part of the world.

Re: Thinking of selling my VSBL
Another vote for hanging on to it. I almost sold mine a couple years ago. Even though I don't play it, I'm glad I hung on to it.

That's difficult to say. They were only made for a few years, and only with the lo
pro edge
for a couple years. $1600 usd wasn't unheard of for a used one last summer. Considering the retail price at the end of their run was $999 usd indicates that there is collectible market for them. Maybe they aren't as collectible as the HAM, but they are more collectible than say the white model.
Will they ever be worth say... $10,000? That's probably unlikely, but who knows what will be a hot seller 40 years from now.
