i like the feel of a old and much used edge more than a ofr.those are stiffer and more tuning problems, but thats my experience.i like a guitar the most when it is original.but for a player?then everything is possible.
be sure you have fun with it!

I like it too. The chrome looks good. Besides, it's not like any irreversible damage has been done -- you could always switch the bridge again later.

Take a closer look at the body - arguably, this one's already irrepairably damaghed.

So far, it's too early to say, but the OFR may be more stable than the LoPro it replaces. Of course, that particular LoPro ain't exactly thegreatest example.

Ok with me. The arguments have convinced me!
Plus, it's retrofittable: if you ever wish to leave the dark side of the force!

Now seriously: how does it feel?

Ew, lol. A bridge singlecoil?

If you want to make a UV more strat-like, just get a replacement alder body. I actually toyed with the idea as I love the sound of ash and alder and think they'd work gorgeously for a seven, but honestly half the reason I like this particular PWH so much is all the wear on the body, and I'd hate to have her start out all minty again.

Actually, the more I play it, the more I dig the feel. The OFR really is a hell of a bridge, and for you guys on the fence, if you've got cash to burn or a guitar that needs a new bridge that can take one, it's definitely worth doing a conversion on one guitar just to give it a try. I've always been an Edge guy too, with little interest in the OFR largely because of the arm holder, but the more I play and the more I get used to the differences, the more I dig the design.

Both units are excellent trems, but I'm beginning to feel like I've been unfairly discounting the Original all these years.

Tubarao, I'll try to cut a video for you in the next week or so. I meant to do it over the weekend, but we had an unplanned houseguest from Friday night through Sunday afternoon, and I had to squeeze a whole weekend's worth of errands into Sunday evening which just left me too drained to even try, lol.

I know, I don't even use the bridge single much on my strat. I can't imagine only wanting that.

Still, as long as the dude's happy...
