Ok, sorry to bump this thread, but I've (obviously) logged a couple months of playtime on this thing by now.

The OFR rules. Plain and simple. I know it's all personal taste, and there's a few little squiggly details I'm not 100% sold on (like, the bar is positioned a LITTLE closer to the strings than I'm used to), but at the very least the OFR is every bit the trem that an Edge is. Personally, to my taste, I prefer the OFR. I feel like I've been criminally neglecting it all these years simply because I do like Ibanez trems and all the liscensed Floyds I've played have REALLY blown.

Call me a convert.

Most Licensed Floyds suck, except for the Edge stuff, but the OFR's are the real deal.

+1.

It took me a bit to get used to the ofr coming from the edge/lo pro. I think if I decide to 'upgrade' my guitar, I'll try a floyd rose pro. I wouldn't mind getting that lo profile back. I'm not crazy about the screw in arm, but other than that I love mine.

Well, that would have been worse seeing as the monkey grip wasn't there to begin with hahahahaha!

I like it man, and I love pwh's, they just look ace beat up, they really do, and I love the yellowing, and mine is just getting more and more beat up by the day. Actually debating whether I should be getting another, as the one i have my eye on is in mint condition pretty much apart from one or two nicks, so maybe it's not the best idea i've ever had, as it won't be mint for long knowing me...

The Floyd Rose Pro is the new.... Oh wait, nevermind, I'm thinking of the Speedloader. Nice idea and all, but way too much of a PITA for anyone who on occasion likes to tune to something other than Standard.

Like I said, my only little gripe is I'm not quite used to the arm placement. The Edge and Lo Pro are great trems too, and I'd certainly never NOT buy an Ibanez because they didn't come with a Floyd- I've played Edge trems so long that they're just very comfortable to me. However, if I was going custom, an OFR7 is a no brainer - it's both cheaper than an Ibanez liscensed trem, and thus far I think I've been happier with the OFR. Ultra stable, the screw in arm holder actually works, and it just feels absolutely bulletproof.
