Tips of Preventing Yellowness

Ahh! My new 7vwh is starting to turn to turn yellow. Anyone got any tips for preventing this and removing the yellowness. It show character with age but it looks better white.

Re: Tips of Preventing Yellowness

Really? I have never seen a 7VWH turn yellow, I remember reading somewhere that Ibanez put something special in the paint to prevent it from aging into a classic white/yellowish white. Can you post a pic?

Re: Tips of Preventing Yellowness

I've seen it start to happen to old ones, from like '93-'94 and it was barely noticable but never a new one... this should not be!

Re: Tips of Preventing Yellowness

The yellowing is a result of Ultra Violet light. It will yellow most unstabilized white paint in a week. I'm sure Ibanez uses UV stable paints. It could be a wax coating that is yellowing. Was it waxed with anything that could yellow? Anyway, keep it out of sunlight.

I have nothing whatsoever to contribute to this thread, but you have never seen a 7VWH(ite) turn white?

Keep it cased. No smoking.

Myself, I like 'em a nice vintage white, ala EVO.

Unless it was one of "those" 7VWHs from the 'bay ...

That shouldn't be happening, especially to a new one. Either you are storing it in a really nasty environment, or something is really wrong with it.
