Re: torn between two jems
Sims UK? There's no one in the US doing vine inlays? I remember a couple years back, someone had a 7DBK with a
chrome vine
. I think it was done by Jeremy at LGM, are they still around? I don't see them as a sponsor anymore.

Re: torn between two jems
You never know what you'll pay if you look. I recently got an '01 VWH for $1150, and it was dead mint, with all the case candy in a minty case. Once I replaced the horrible stock pickups it was (and is) an absolute joy to play. I wouldn't trade my VWH for any J-Custom, Anderson, Suhr, PRS or anything else. Well....maybe a Benedetto Manhattan
It is one of the best guitars I've ever had, and I've had hundreds of guitars and played tens of thousands.

Jeremy paints gas tanks on Harleys now, he's completely out of the guitar business.

That is for you to decide my friend
the age old Basswood vs Alder deal!! But you'll definitely like the neck and trem better!!!

Jim, what'd you replace those Evos with? I've always thought it'd be strange to replace the pickups on the VWH because of the gold pole pieces, etc. I can't say I like the Evolutions, but I just make a separate preset for them and I'm good to go.
