trading my jem7vwh for gibson ace frehley les paul - is that

Hi,

I wanted to know if trading my mint 2000 Jem 7VWH in mint condition for a mint 1997 Gibson Ace Frehley Les Paul is a good idea?

I don't *know how much more a Les Paul is worth than a jem but i think it is more than a grand. and if i ever didnt like the trade, since its worth more, i could always get my jem back, right?

So do you think its a good trade? Please give all opinions, i especially need opinions from Jem bigtime buyers/sellers/retailers/business guys, (like Rich)

THANKS ALOT

I don't know what Frehly's actually sell for but they're all offered in the $3000 range, so even a despiration sale would get you a brand new 7v PLUS a DBK, if you so desired. (I guess)

yes the retail value is more for the Ace F model , its about 3000£ , however not many people buy it as AF isnt exactly popular these days and 3000£ its not somthing anyone can buy.....so id only trade if you want the AF LP to play

Ace isn't popular? *And Steve is??? *Don't get me wrong, I worship Steve & all but lets face it, who would get recognized on the streets first?

No Contest

Anyway, it's a great trade in your favor if it's in good condition. *I can't see this guitar being a player though...

Trade for the Les Paul if its in the condition you say. *There are 50x as many VWH's out there and you can always get your hands on one later. *

This should be a no-brainer considering the value of the Les Paul. *Take the deal, sell the Paul, then go buy another VWH or 3.

guitars are only worth what the public will pay for it, not a hteoretical worth...I don't know what Les Pauls are going for on the used market...if you can get good $$ for it, then go for it, if you can't then don't

(I have noticed a slight slowdown lately in the used guitar market, seems to be somewhat of a buyers market with prices going down slightly----anyone else noticed that?)

I'd do it.

You can always get another VWH from Rich

I'd love to have a AF LP and a Tony Iommi SG.

Someone/anyone can correct me, but isn't the AF Paul made by Epiphone?

Gibson released one as did Epi. *Make sure you're talking true Gibson here. *If not, don't trade.
