Univers 250K plate serial number dating?

Hi all,
Looking at picking up a UV7BK used pretty locally. Seller told me it was a '91 model, however, according the 250k plate of (256***) it would seem as if this model is a '96? Could someone please correct me if i am wrong, or verify if I am looking at this the right way! Thanks so much!

If it starts with a 2, that means it's a 1992.

Oh really, I totally misread Ibanez Rules' serial number page. Thanks for the clarification Petie!! I find serial numbers confusing. Especially never seeing a UV in person!
