Universes with Reverse headstock?

Has Steve ever played with a reverse headstock? No.

Will this ever happen on a JEM/UV? Don't bet on it.

Maybe it would be good for RGs and other models but i think it's safe to say the reverse headstock era is past us... glen

I for one am glad. *I never liked reverse headstocks. *They are a mother to tune. *I have long arms, but you have to be an ape to tune those things standing up. *I'm sure there will be a time when they come back though. *Everything does.

I happen to like the reverse headstock look. Ibanez guitars look particularly(sp?) yummy with this
The 565 and USAC's are great looking guitars (sans the shark-tooth inlays :yawn.
I was about to order a couple from Harpers until I heard they were no longer taking custom orders

Universes with Reverse headstock?

I must be one of the only people on earth who finds reverse headstocks easier to tune than with the tuners along the top. My hand is normally under the neck to play it, so why not keep it under there to tune it? It just feels natural to me.

But then again, i have ape arms.

Universes with Reverse headstock?

I'm with jem7vwh, any + they have on the looks is way out weighed by the fact that they are a pain to tune. I would not mind as much for a fixed bridge but there is no way I would go for with a floating trem guitar, or even worse a 7-string guitar with a floating trem.

Universes with Reverse headstock?

i agree with darren. *i find my arm gets more fatigued from tuning a normal headstock. * and i certainly am far from having ape arms. * * * *maybe this means i should just start practicing the Over-the-Fretboard technique like mikey angelo...

Universes with Reverse headstock?

Well, it's not exactly a UV, but there's a pic of someone's custom "UV-6" in the photo gallery with a reverse headstock. *Here's a link:

Universes with Reverse headstock?

I was in GC the other day and they had a couple of Sqi*r 7 string strats ($149!!! - must be good stuff, eh?)

The headstocks were upside down. *I tried to play it, but it was out of tune and what a pain in the A** is it was to figure out what string went with which tuner.

Blech.

I like the guy's Herc Swirl on that page by the way = the Purple is nicey nice

Universes with Reverse headstock?

I would love to have a reversed headstock Universe. That would kick major a$$.

I think Dino Cazares from Fear Factory and Munky from Korn both have 7 strings with reversed headstocks.

yummy !
