I would say $1500 is about average price but it depends on the condition of the guitar. I've seen GR's in pretty good condition go for under $1000 but only a couple of times so don't get your hopes up. As for it's playability, the only major difference between a GR and 777BK is the
neck joint. GR has the old "block style" neck joint where as the 777BK has the all
access neck joint allowing easier reach to all strings up to the 24th fret. The GR is a great guitar and (in my opinion) isn't lacking in playability due to the neck joint so it's basically a toss up. Hope that helps.
