UV vs RG

Can anyone who has both a Jem/RG and a UV tell me if the only difference in the body is the size of the trem/pickup routes. Or is the UV actually bigger than the Jem/RG. Thanks.

the body width / length are the same... except for the neck pocket, trem and pickup routing... I think someone posted a pic in an older thread but I can verify this from owning a UV and 2 RG's [pre-AANJ]. Otherwise, the curves leading toward the neck is slightly different [due to the wider neck pocket]... here's a shot of my RG760 on top of a UV777GR:


the shot is angled but the UV's neck pocket is wider towards the high E string...

What he said...........but to add, the UV is done like a strat in that it is routed thru the top. The RG's.......obviously are from the rear, which in my own goofy opinion, gives them two different tonal qualitys. It took me awhile to get use to the RG tone after playing UV's exclusively for years. My RG's were back ups for quite awhile untill I got use to em
