UV10th?

Whatever happened to the UV10th, can we expect to see one? Or has ibanez forgotten already?

UV10th?

Its looking like this ship has already sailed sadly. Maybe all we can hope for now is a new UV in the next 2 years.

UV10th?

The UV10 was no guarantee, as much as we all figured it to be a no-brainer. The 10th anniversary is over and there is a new Korn7 signature model forthcoming. I think the UV takes a backseat this year... glen

UV10th?

I will be very interested to see photos of this “KoRn” 7-string.

As far as the Ibanez UV line, I know we all dig new colors and designs, but the UV777PBK is basically a really good design. I am perfectly happy with it. I know we are all used to seeing them now, but I am personally ok with the UV staying as it is. One can always customize.

I can think of a few improvements that could be made and I like seeing new models and more variety as much as the next guy... But who’s gonna’ buy ‘em all?

I agree that the introduction of the fore mentioned KoRn guitar pretty much dashes our hopes for an updated UV777PBK or a 10th anniversary model this year. From a marketing standpoint, Ibanez may be already stepping on shaky ground with the number of 7-string models they offer. I am just happy it wasn’t discontinued. I hope to own a herd of them some day. I am now building the corral in preparation. Yee Haw!

UV10th?

Right now, you can walk into almost any music store around you and see a 7-string or two on the wall. Ibanez or not, you'll still probably see one. The demand may not be as high anymore, but that's simply because they are everywhere now, so you don't hear people trying desperately to hunt one down.

Wasn't it like 92' or 93' when Ibanez had 3 UV's? The UV7BK, UV7PWH and the UV777GR?

It'd be VERY nice if Ibanez complimented the UV777BK with another UV model, 10th Anniv. or not. The UV777BK's been around for 4 years this year now...

With no news of a new JEM, or a UV for that matter, actually, the only signature models coming out this year is the Korn model, if I remember correctly, it looks like Ibanez is taking a back-seat with the signature lines.

Personally, I'd like to see a 2nd UV added to the line, with the UV777BK still being produced. (Like Ibanez isn't making money off that....)

Anyways....I'm off to rant somewhere else.

Later,
Andy

UV10th?

At the speed technology is advancing you would think there would be some ground breaking new guitar innovations soon. I guess I can hope.

It’s 2001 and what I really want to know is, where are the flying cars?!

Wow. I see that the signature option is enabled.

... and disabled again after the edit.
