UV777 Individual string heights

Truss rod adjusment #1 made yesterday... Evening.
The more adjustments I make, the more powerful this guitar becomes. However, I am beginning to ... accept... that I will never be able to have... the control over individual string heights that I need. Of all metrics this is
the only one which has proved disappointing with
Max. I've named it Max after ... Maximilian, the ominous
, powerful.. yet somewhat difficult to control robot monstrosity in "The Black Hole" sci-fi film. Is anyone
having difficulty getting the string heights where they
want them?

You can buy a bag of shims from stew mac ( http://www.stewmac.com/catalog/10.as...e_Bridge_Parts -- part #3097) for like $8.00...

(or maybe there's something cheaper... ) *

Anyhow, they're just thin pieces of metal that fit under the individual saddles... use one or use six -- you can get your strings however you like them.

hmmm... I was wondering where those little shims came from - I'd never seen them on Edge before and was somewhat surprised when I removed a saddle and a couple tiny shims slid out underneath. Thanks ryan

When in doubt ( and being the appalling tech that I am ), I entrust my guitar into the hands of a master!

For all the hassle, it tends to be worth the outlay.
