UV777 Production date? Just bought one used but it looks new

I just bought my very first 7 string. Its a used Ibanez UV 777. Its black with the Mirror pickguard as well as the decending [white/silver] pyrimids on the frets.

I looked on several sites and it says it could be a 1990 but the one site said it was a 2000 [the advent of the F in in 1997] What throws me is that it looks like it has been played very little at all it has the blaze pickups and appears to have an [all access neck] aanj [i think thats what its called, it doesnt have a plate just 4 srew holes holding the neck to the body] neck joint.

it is seemingly identicle to this one [i dont have a digital cam so i had to find a similar image]

the serial number starts F 001

As i said i am new to ibanez but love the one i have but i keep getting conflicting dates. it looks to new to be a 1990 but who knows maybe the guy who had it never played it at all but a few times.

It's not a 1990 because they weren't made then, and going by the serial number I believe yours is a 2001.

thank you for the info. I have played 4 other 7 strings before i found this one at the local guitar shop. It has by far the nicest neck i have played since attempting to jump to the 7 string.

Serial number starting with 001 it's a 2000.
