UV777GR
Ok. Being relistic what are the chances of finding a UV777GR and not
paying a collectors price for it. I want a seven and a maple board would
be cool but I don't know if I want to go through the hassle and
time of finding one of these.

Re: UV777GR
Hey Satch......
Just my "own" goofy opinion here..........but you could always have a custom built for probrably a fraction of the cost of the original. Then you could also add in some of your own personal touches to make it an "original". Plenty of really good custom builders that hang out here around the forum. Just a thought.........

Re: UV777GR
i agree with ranz, but make sure you plan out a schedule with the person so it doesn't take foever. make a detailed list so nothing you want is missed and grab a price quote and time quote before building starts.

Re: UV777GR
At one stage I was after exactly the same sort of thing. Starting asking around custom prices and it's no where near as bad pricing as you'd think.

Re: UV777GR
GR's are hard to come by. I waited about a year and a half before I had the opportunity to get the right one at the right price. Unless you heart is set on a GR you might have easier results grabbing one of the new Loomis Schecter models.

Re: UV777GR
Good suggestions. I've thought about going the custom made route.
Anyone familiar with IbanezRegister.com site there actually is a
UV777GR for sale in thier classfied section. Don't know how old the ad is though and I'm sure it's overseas. Still got my interest though.

Email Jerry, he's the admin of "The Ibanez Register", he'll shoot you straight and let you know if the guitar is still available.

Last one I saw was for sale from a London store, Denmark St I think, but they were asking for a ridiculous price.
Shame Jeremy isn't making his LGM Leviathans anymore, else you could have got one of these

Re: UV777GR
Yeah, while it is truly a shame, Jeremy has moved on to Harley Davidson customizing and other painting opportunities. The turnaround on guitars was too long and the overhead was too high. It is a shame because he did some good stuff. He did promise to come back to the guitars if he found a way he could do it still keep a profit margin and a realistic timeline.

That GR has been there a long time. I remember every lead I ever found during my search period came back to that one and the old ad posted on Ibanezregister.

Re: UV777GR
Those Levithans are wild. Looks a nice one there.
I'm already thinking of putting the 7 string on hold and
just getting a
maple neck
Jem built , maybe a swirl.

Good luck with that.
There's a few swirlers around that'll help you out. But don't know who'd I'd use to make a custom 7 neck, and I'm sure there's plenty of guys around here who can recommend someone.
