UV7pwh Differences?

Is there a difference at all depending on the year of manufacture? Or all they all the same and never changed? I did some research but everyone seems to be saying different things.

They are all the same except the neck profile

It's very hard to say
I own 5 UVs :
- 2 PWH with a serial beginning with "90" and one of them
has a slightly "chunkier" neck
- 1 Green Dot (90) : chunkier and thicker (slightly too, but obvious to me)
- 1 MC MKR (91) has the same neck than the "chunkier" PWH
- 1 Silver Dot (97) : the neck profile is something between the Green dot and the MC

I've read somewhere here that the UV necks were hand made or hand finished
but, anyway, I stopped trying to understand,
They have their own personnality (not clones) and I like that

Cool, thank you for the help. Just to confirm those are the only differences between the PWH's then?

IE a '90 PWH will (may) only have a neck profile difference?

Most people say the neck differences are form hand sanding at the end of the process.

I've also heard that a few of the fist production models came with Edge trems, not Lo Pro Edge trems.
I've seen pics of a few green dots with the OE7 on them, I'm not sure about the PWH.

Thank you! Im not worried about which trem I end up with although i'd prefer the original edge because i already have a guitar on route with a lo pro 7...and as we all know..variety is the spice of life haha

mine is a 90 model, an it has an Edge tremolo and a super slim neck. Fast as a shark

Whats a good price range by the way? Im thinking 1200-2000 depending on condition?

1200 seems a bit low. Mind you, I bought two uvpwh's (a 90 and a 91) for 1800 to 1900 usd each both in very good condition. Might consider getting rid of the 91 but you probably won't like the asking price . Regardless, the main differences I found between the two:
- middle PU poles have a different visual appearance/design
- finish on the neck feels slightly smoother on the 90
- markings on the back of the PUs don't have the "Dimarzio" stamp
- original edge on the 90 vs. Lo pro edge on the 91.

Yeah, maybe a little low, but I personally think they're kind of ugly, so that's my max budget for one in good condition

Fair enough - I kinda fell for the white when I first saw Rocky George use one with Suicidal Tendencies video for You can't bring me down.

I think it's because I'm so in love with the 777 neons... The yellowed white color on some of them just are polar opposite from neon so I'm just like yuck. I'm sure if I owned one if probably feel different.

I have a 90' with a lo-pro but I did hear that some were considered "transitional year" models.
