Vai Heart Guitar Raffle - Anyone got the scoop?

Anyone know who won the heart guitar raffle to benefit MANF?

RP said they'd drawn and had winner(s). *As I haven't heard from him, I guess I wasn't the lucky #. *Hope somebody here was!

I'm still holding out hope for a jar of honey tho!

The names of the winners wil be published in the liner notes of the Steve Vai Box Set, which is due out in September 1999.

I already bought the box set. *It contains the CD-ROM guitar instruction CD-ROM and the PAW book too.

BTW, give it up, the liner notes say that the kids from JF2K won the Heart guitar too.

Well, maybe we can by more raffle tix for it at Jemfest 2001...

Sorry RossKoss, Kirk and I were just kidding...

The box set WAS originally due out in 99 but then Ultrazone and now the live album got in the way. Also, there was supposed to be an instructional CD-ROM even before the box set. This got shelved and is supposed to appear on the Vai site one day. *And then the heart guitar raffle was supposed to have been ended and announced months ago.

Despite my sarcasm, I am a huge Vai fan and I am truly amazed at his productivity. I also understand that Plans change... but I still would like the instructional CD-ROM...

At the risk of sounding PC, I also like Vai. *Just don't want my sarcasm to be misconstrued.

HOWEVER! *It is disconcerting that the contest's winner was not publicized. *I mean, it's such a great charity you would think they would have pics of the winner and total amount of donation made through the raffle. *Disappointing to say the least.

I am not jaded because I did not enter the contest, just as curious as the next guy.

BTW, the instructional CD is going to be released with the box set, which is in the possession of the new singer of Van Halen.

You guys think that Halen & Vai both share the same PR people? :laugh:
