Vai's BiAX Guitar

So i was in London about two weeks ago and i was in Rhodes music down denmark street (at least i think it was Rhodes, its was one of the guitar shops down denmark anyway) and i saw hanging on the wall with a proud sign emblazoned with

STEVE VAI'S GUITAR

and i realised it was the BiAX guitar...

Now i didnt know if that had been sold for charity or even just fogged or whatever because im not exacly the most up to date person, but it looked legit... the question is is it... and if so... anyone have £3000 odd so i can get it? LOL no im joking with the last bit, but seriously is that the real deal?

That guitar has been in there for a loooooong looooong time

As with all their stuff it's priced absurdly!!! I actually thought it used to be more than that, maybe they tried a new "bargain" price

3K for an RG550 with special pickups? So what if it once was in vai's arsenal? apparently he did not like it so much so he gave it away

It was Rockers, not Rhoads.

I was there not long ago.. and I saw it.. and I wanted it... But I bought the PGM they had

Its awesome (wasnt very well setup, but within 10 minutes of getting out of the case..

)

I dont think its really worth it though. For 3000ish, how much of that price is just becasue Vai used to own it once upon a time? I dont think the guitar itself is worth near even half of that.

Its for charity what do you expect? An annual event in Australia is the 1st box of cherry's every year goes up for sale for charity and it reaches edleast 10k every year.

I could be wrong, but although it was a charity guitar when it left Vai's hands, I don't think it's for charity anymore!!! I think it's just sitting in a shop in London, not selling.

Yep, still there, been there for ages, someone may at some point want it, but I doubt it's worth it unless you have the dosumentation to prove it, and even then, it's just an RG, and an "experimentation" guitar...

rhodes music is the **** did you see the 7 string jacksons?? played like crazy

and they had a randy rhoads stack (got to play it, its pretty awesome)

but i asked the dude and he sad it was

£3000 for a rg550 no thanks.dont care if its been owned by the queen of england.no disrespects to mr vai i think hes the best rock guitarist thats ever lived but £3000 fraid not.tell mr vai ill give him £450 that includes p&p
