Notice the camera shot jumps before he pulls it out of the vat......is he pointing a fan over the guitar to spread the paint before pulling it out?

Im getting a video for Vai's 7 string. Im assuming it was supposed to be a demonstration of swirling, although there are some really nice swirls on some of those ibby's.

look at the way the paint is mixed before the guitar is dipped.i think thats the secret to a nice swirl,all sounds easy but it aint.
