Did'nt you hear...it was released this morning. Hehehe, just kidding. I think it's still in the rumor mill. A new Jem would really be nice.

Winter NAMM is January 17 - 20, 2002. We will probably not know anything until then.

Well...techinically we *could* learn of something of a new JEM, but that all depends on 2 people in this forum, and how much info they know.....*usually* they know at least something by this point...but they've yet to speak....

Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.
They're lurking under the alias of Billy Bob Hackensack and The Great Zoltar.
They very seldom write any entries... :loco:

IF a new JEM is announced, I'd expect info to flow before NAMM after Hosh USA have their pre-NAMM meetings for sales reps, etc. In the past, Jemsite published info before dealers knew of these new models, causing a break in the 'chain of command' so to speak. It is obvoius that Ibanez doesn't like it when regional managers get info from 'online' before getting it from them first. This was heightened with some April fools pranks on the frontpage, where dealers called Ibz about 'price drops' that were a hoax

Well....I'll definitely be in Anaheim at the show in January, so I'll be sure to take an extra picture card for my digi cam. * *Anybody else going to NAMM?

If all goes as planned and my friend gets off his 'vacation' anytime soon, I'll be going with my friend's store, Mainely Drumz.....the infamous, once bad, now good place.

I'll be sure to bring plenty of film, video, etc.

If there is a new JEM, I hope there is more of a difference than looks. Really, a 77GMC and 77FP... Same guitar but different cosmetics.

I'd like to see a new one with totally different specs. Woods, pups, frets... whatever!

I really don't care what the finish is, as long as they keep the alder, ebony and Evo's. How about blue with 3-color blue pyramids? --rvj
