What bridge does Vai use these days?

Did he change to Edge Pro or is he still using the old trusty Lo-Pro Edge?

Re: What bridge does Vai use these days?

I'm fairly sure Steve tends to play "whatever". I'd guess that he'll not rush out to have Evo retrofitted with a new bridge, but also I don't know if he'd demand that his new guitars have the old Edge trem (like Satch did with the prototype JS1200)

Anyone who's seen his latest axes (Mikey) will probably know better than my dodgy memory

editted due to terrible spelling!!!

Re: What bridge does Vai use these days?

Evo has a Lo-Pro I am pretty sure. He put a million bridges on it but with all the cracking of the body I don't think hes going to try to install an Edge Pro.

I think the Bad Horsies have an Edge Pro and I know he has some 7vwhs that have Edge Pros but most of his guitars are from the Lo-Pro era still.

He has a black original Edge in EVO. All other guitars in the current touring lineup have Lo-Pros.

So does that mean that he doesnt play new Bad Horsie, or that his version has a Lo-Pro?

My point exactly, even though I did not explictly say it

If you check vai.com, he has a couple of guitars he takes on the road as backups but does not use / uses very rarely with Edge Pros, the rest of them have Lo-Pros, and Evo DOES have an original Edge, I always thought it had an Lo-Pro on it too!

Re: What bridge does Vai use these days?

most of the guitars he plays are prototypes, and his BRMR isn't any exception.
