Re: What do u think is a fair price for the new Mirror Jem?

I would agree with you on that one, however coming from the UK these prices mean very little. At the moment the mirror jem on ebay is up for about the same price as a VWH is new - £1600. This is, however around $3000.

Oh how I HATE unfair pricing.

Re: What do u think is a fair price for the new Mirror Jem?

Since it resembles the DBK (pups, hardware, fretboard) the pricing should match if not be lower since A. there's been sightings of DBK's at decent prices new & used, B. given the production signature offering is not the same as the endorser offering, and C. the competition from Jackson and other builders (see banners above).

I personally see Ibanez at a very important point consumer wise in my neck of the woods. They either start getting competitive against others either in price or option offerings or sink much deeper into the "lower-end guitar maker nitch". The deeper the hole you dig, the further you will have to climb to get out.

I think Ibanez has a very strong and loyal customer base.......specially the Jem line.......and although they bring out some nice guitars.....it all seems bit dull and boring to me......Specially the JS line.....

I vote for bringing back the Radius......and that new "bad-horsie" Jem could be nice addition......and what about that black-chrome JS? And to really blow everyone away....bring out that 8 string Meshuggah guitar instead of that ugly K7.

And opening up the USA Custom shop would be nice. Looking at the Japanese J-custom line....there is a market for those really nice, properly built special guitars.......unfortunately they currently seem to go for the cheap Korean route.

Seems like a 7dbk replacement looks more probable.

List is $3099 so expect them to be around $2500 with case which is beyond stupid on Ibanez part.

they could at least have included the Leds and the sustainer, its very over priced in my opinion.

If they had done that it would probably be around 4000 $ if not more.

In my opinon this BRMR will be too expensive.

What about its pickups? Will they be "evo" or "paf pro" ?

Re: What do u think is a fair price for the new Mirror Jem?

List is £1999 in the UK.
so we had the vwh at $1799 the vsbl at £1899 now the brmr at £1999
hey but its still under two grand. lol.

once you get oer the initial wow factor. it is pretty ordinary. it would need the led, laser or sustainer to keep the interest.

i looked for a while at building a chrome faced jem, but unlike the JS shape the Jem lacks the fluidity to make chrome realy work.

Still it looks great and hopefully will be a good seller.
