What does a missing Certificate do for the value of a 90HAM?
I've got the choice of between a used 90HAM with sertificate and a new one with the certificate missing. How will a missing sertificate affect resell value? My playing will suffer 5% from the missing sertificate :-), but it's nice to get a completely new, unsoiled one....

Are you buying it to play, or to hang on your wall and sell at a later date?
If you plan on playing the guitar, i think that would have more of an effect on its resale value than the missing certificate.

I am going to play it. No plan on selling it, but it would be nice to know the resell value. If I undertand you correct, I should get the used one if I plan to play it??

The guitars are still on the other side of the planet (in australia, I live in Norway), so its hard to check them myself, so I have to take their word for it. But a guess a new one is in better condition than a used one

If that new one has been sitting in a shop for 4 years the chances of it still being perfect are pretty slim. You should visit a GC sometime and look how their 1 year old guitars look!
About a hundred off for the missing cert in resale.

Missing a COA, OMG?!?!?!?!? That just completely kills the value of the guitar. Lord knows how many Jem HAM90s have been illegally copied! Noone would ever want to own a Jem HAM 90 without a COA. Holy moly, you can't play it if it doesn't have a COA. Stay away from this one.

LOL!
But for real, but if you are going to play the guitar, get the used one. Depending on price of course... Good luck!

I am going for the used one and saving $500, and getting the sertificate! I remember from collecting records that collectors can get really anal about artifacts that comes with the actual item. (Kiss' unmasked record came with a large poster, and no copy with the poster was an actual collectable while the other were just plain)
