What does everyone think about this True Temperment necks that Vai talks about

in this month's Guitar One. I did several double-takes looking at the pics, but on the CD in this months GO Vai says he will be fitting all of his guitars with this system. Here is the link:

I think using an Earvana nut would be much simpler and cleaner looking,

https://www.earvana.com/

That just looks disgusting to me.

Looks nice, and it's way cheaper than the Buzz Feiten system getting installed - and I bet that temperament system costs hundreds.

Not to mention the repair work costs heh. Yeah I'll take the Eavana for less than the cost of a limb.

You must use a degree of temperment in order to get a piano in tune. If you go with a strobe tuner the instrument will be sharp and unplayable.

Bah. The imperfections of guitars make them what they are. Who really cares if everything is dead nuts on perfect. The majority of the listening people wont notice anyway.

If Vai does this, then will all Jems come with it. I was always under the impression the Jem was made so Steve could take anyone off the wall at a store and it would be exacly what he uses.

Oddly enough, it looks very similar to my first attempt at a re-fret.
