JEM was the name of Joe Despagni's guitar company. A friend of Steve's who did some customization. Ibanez added their ideas to the new RGs that would be produced and the JEM was born. More in the jemsite --> Guitar area under "History of the JEM"... glen

If anyone's interested, I can probably now upload pictures from the actual Despagni Jem Brochurewhen I'm over Carolyn's this weekend. *I have a couple of copies of it that a friend gave me in college. *It's pretty cheesey. *You can tell that the guitars and basses were physically cut out from other pictures and scanned onto the layout for the catalog. *I got it in 1995 or so and just found it again last week. *Are there any legalities in uploading the brochure?
