What JEM is closest to UNIVERSE in terms of tone?

I love the UNIVERSE tone. I'm wondering which JEM has the tone, closest to tone of the UNIVERSE?

The older JEMs. The Florals (rear routed al UV77MC) others w/ basswood body, rosewood board and PAF pickups.

Definately NOT the new AANJ Jems w/ Evos or breeds, however the UV have a tone of their own ... glen

I've owned a UV77MC and I now have a 777DY. *I honestly can't tell the difference between the sound of the two. *The UV77MC looked KEWLER for the most part, but the Jem is a much more playable guitar overall.

Other reasons to like the 777DY
1.) They're Cheap
2.) They're Plentiful
3.) Nothing screams "Screw You Nirvana" like it.

yeah - I'll go along with the original 777 as sounding the closest to a UV 7, or a 77 FP to the rear rout MC universe

I think a lot of guys reckon adding a Steve's Special bridge pickup helps too

Personally I reckon that some of the uniqueness of the UV tone comes a lot from the massive neck, and the extra metal in the bridge

Don't forget it has a larger headstock. *More structure = more resonance. *It’s sorta the same theory behind the gourd on a sitar. *BTW, I gotta get one of those, not the small one, a full size one.
