What to do with this 7VWH? Ideas?

Hi Folks,

got a new (used) Jem without the Evos and the original pickguard.
Instead of the Evos there were 2 EMG81 and a ugly black pickguard installed.
So, i like the EMGs, so I´ll keep these, but now i don´t know what kind of pickguard I should use.

I´m thinking of taking a transparent UV-sensitive Pickguard and maybe install some blue LEDs in the cavity. I think it would look cool if i also paint the cavity white. What do you think? Other Ideas?

Did the previous owner rear-route for the EMG battery compartment, or is the battery, etc. all stuffed into the front cavity? If the latter is the case, then a transparent pickguard may not look too hot if it's a mess of wires underneath.

He didn´t routed anything. Wires may look cool, but the battery not :-( White wires for example :-)

Check out the link for Pickguard Paradise above, they make some awsome replacements. I might get one myself just to make my JEM my own.

I bet the 81's sound pretty good in there. I have em in my Steinberger and they are pretty sweet.

i think nuno posted a real neat looking vwh with a gold mirror guard with a vine carved in it. looked real killer! i don't know about the clear guard though, i would be a bit unsightly with the routings and wires..

btw Gilk420 what model steinberger do you have?

The clear guard would be different. Not sure how it would look though.

3 ply Pearl HH, wouldnt hurt to get black knobs and a black lo pro (if possible)...

Leds on a vwh would be like putting xmas lights around liberace's corpse...

btw Gilk420 what model steinberger do you have?

Not sure the number, but it is the Reb Beach looking one, USA made, flame maple top, it plays REALLY sweet.

Transparent is a good idea in theory but I think it would probably stink up this particular guitar.
