What to look out for on a used UV777BK

Hi,

I'm currently looking at a used '99 UV777bk that appears to be in good condition. Now, I've had several Ibanez's over the years but never a 7-string.

Is there anything I should be aware of or pay extra attention to when it comes to these guitars?

Actually looking at a used '05 with new neck and trem as well, in same condition and price. So any 2 cts on that model also welcome.

I've owned an 07 UV777BK and my current 99. To me, the 99 feels more solid overall and I prefer the bridge. The neck also feels better to me but I never directly compared the two. YMMV of course.

Both seem to have spent a lot of time in the case. Testing both of them is difficult, as one is 200km in one direction (would have it posted), and the 2nd 100km in the opposite direction (I'll drive).

The neck from 2005 till now seems quite more solid in built. 5 piece, reinforced, no scarf...
However, must agree on the Lo pro. The Lo pro on my RGR570 feels more solid and better built compared to the Pro on my 7DBK

Yeah, the bridge is better. I dunno what it is about the neck or the guitar overall, but it just feels better to me. Something about the newer neck I didn't jive with. For all I know, they're the same shape exactly but as I say, I didn't compare them side by side.
