What would you do? FP JEM

I want a pristine FP JEM and I see 3 options.

1. Get a limited run if I'm lucky enough
2. Have a dealer import one
3. Have a friend in Japan get me one

I really am not that interested if its the "limited run". I just want a brand new FP. But if it cost just as much for a dealer to import me one, then I might as well. On the other hand, I'm not sure how much a hassle and the duties for me to have a friend in Japan get one for me.

I am not really sure what the most feasable option is here.

Check the multi swirl on the top of the page.

I'm with ya on the idea of a new FP tho. Always wanted one.

Where are you located?
Australia has a few. FP's were never "not available" brand new here in Australia.

Ishibashi sells them for 196,000 yen+shipping. Figure US$1670 for the guitar, and their shipping used to be about US$170. Check their site though, it's filled with great Engrish quotes like, "Ibanez...Enhance Your Creation" and "Click here to test for utilizability of the Shopping Cart on your browser."
They're at http://www.ishibashi-music.com/

I'll add my 2 cents. Check with Rich at IbanezRules.com. I believe he's getting some '03 FP's. If not, he could find you a mint one most likely.
You won't be disappointed.

Yeah, that's crazy cash. But, I've never had a problem spending other people's money!

Good thing I'm not a politician!

By the way, are the pickups and knobs going to be purple? I think it looks way cool like that.

I was under the impression the 2003 line was the 15th anniversary...

Anyway, Rich, you say you have one left? >: D
I've got a hole burning in my pocket... my email address is knightmare@aol.com

(My girlfriend just blew $1500 on a bird yesterday, so now she can't bust my balls about buying another guitar... so now is the time)
