What's the Evolution single? - Curious to know

I remember someone told me that the singlecoil in the middle position on Jem's is based on Dimarzio HS-2.
I can't find any information on the Evo single (or Jem single). Dimarzio's website won't help.
This is what I'm thinking about: I've played a Jem with Evo's, and the hum increased when I used the in-between positions when there was some gain. Weird, because the HS-2 is a stacked humbucker and should be as quiet as a normal humbucker.
Do you have any idea what's going on?

Reason for me asking this is because I'm going to replace the stock pup's on my RG 570 EX and I was wondering which singlecoil to take with evo's. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear.
I like a hum-free pu, but if there's a pu that has a great tone but is not stacked, I'd like to hear about that too.

#Moderation Mode

AS this post is about pickups in a JEM rather than the JEM itself I'm going to move it to the gear section

Can folks please continue this discussion in it's new home
