Which Edge has the best flutter? or are they both equally good at producing flutter?

Original edge on my guitars. Its a much stronger, longer lasting flutter. My lo pro equipped guitars had less all around, and my original floyd had very little. I dont flutter alot with my kahler equipped guitars, and have a few of them blocked off even now. Just a quick note, though i think the schaller/floyd rose 2, flutters better than the original floyd.

Best flutter I've had was with Original Floyd's, mostly on 80's Kramer's, etc.

Crazy! What type of studs were in those kramers? Ever see the older ones with the wood screw type struds with no bushing/collar whatchamahoosit?

the edge i have now doesn't quite flutter as well as the lopro i had on a Jem7dbk a while back.. though now i have heavier strings too so i guess that could be why..

Just thought I'd let you know that the DBK's flutter is quite good! But only when you have new strings, either that or there is something wrong with my bar.

I guess it could come down to condition/setup more.

But I would say the Edge Pro is the best of the edges, however I get the best by a mile from a OFR on an ESP, but maybe this has something to do with the arm being tightly screwed in as opposed to pushed in and held by bushes which will have some cushioning in comparison.

From what i've played i actually like the Edge Pro best for flutter.

It mostly depends on the sharpness knife edges, but other factors like the mass of the trem behind the knife edges, string elasticity also make a difference.

The edge is the shortest of the lot with the majority of the mass closest to the knife edges so it requires less energy for the tremelo to change direction, from going up to going down... hence it should flutter longest and best.

i change my vote. after messing with my spalted RG's edge all day i think it flutters very well.

though i must say, Vai gets by pretty well on a lopro....
