Re: which is better

I think that's probably a matter of opinion or taste. They're both top guitars.

Re: which is better

they're both awesome, I personally am partial to the JEM77BRMR because of the breeds and the rock mirror finish, I'm not a big fan of the white/pearloid white/gold combo.

The BRMR, it has more 7s in it's name.

Re: which is better

They're both good instruments, you'll find people will tell you one is better than the other cosmetically, but that's all opinion.

I personally like the brmr better, it has a little more versatility for me, but that isn't to say that I don't like the vwh anymore, I just have more limitations on the sounds I can get out of it, the evolution pickups seem, to me anyways, a little harsher so when both guitars go to a show, the brmr gets played more than the vwh.

I'm considering hunting around for a beat-up dbk, if it has the same feel and sound as the brmr, I can play it at shows in tougher weather conditions that I might not want to take the brmr to. (heat and humidity here can be a beast and lots of places want outdoor music in the summer, it's rough on the equipment)
