Let me see if I get this straight

Jem 555 + 7Vwh neck, we'll call the neck $600 as a medium between the good deals and the usual going price. Figure $200 for the bridge and to keep costs down routing and installation will be done by you. $800 for parts and now you have a 555 with a few nice upgrades

or

Sell the 555 for $700 take the $800 you were going to spend on parts, and get a real Jem 7V instead of trying to make the 555 something it isnt

I have a 7v neck on a 555wh body. Why? I've owned a 7vwh and a 7vsbl but I prefer the basswood tone instead of alder. Evo's on a basswood body sound great. To answer the original posters' question, it won't be a direct swap. The 7v neck uses smaller screws that didnt align with the screw holes in the neck joint. I plugged up the original holes with wood and drilled new ones to get it to fit. Hope that helps.

but a chibanez neck will do the job also.its cheaper and looks okey.
maybe thats the solution.the looks.i have played a chibanez neck and i can say its not that bad(its cheap and judge it that way)so if he buys that maybe he is done.
i would go for total custom or seachs for parts and fits it your self together.
