I realize that it definitely appears to be a pretty good price for a Jem, but is 900 bucks really a "bargain" for a used DBK with only one (not very good) picture?

It could've been a scam I guess...I did speak to the guy though and he seemed legit...maybe not worth the possibility of getting it and it being 'significantly not as described' :-/

Oh no, I wasn't implying that it was a scam, I just don't think $900 is all that great of a price for a used DBK. Not over-priced by any means, but also not any kind of incredible bargain.

As far as I remember I paid $900 for my DBK from guitar trader when they first came out and that included shipping and a UV1000c case..

So I dont think its too great a deal

Quite. Made from '99 to '04 apparently. And not among the most sought after today, to my knowledge.

I got mine for $700, and it's signed 3X. It was so newish the frets weren't even worn - just a bit oxidised from sitting for 7 years.

Yeah, that's actually a pathetic price. They're going for under $900 NEW in my area (RI/ MA).

Maybe for you guys in the US, but in the UK they're starting to dry up and for $895 that's a great price even after shipping and tax.

I agree, its a good deal and a great ax. I could never warm up to the "finish" myself. Wish I could have bagged the prototype that had a satin black smooth finish.
