I'm the proud owner of the Ibanez Universe UV7BK #259248 ('96, right?).
I talked about her
previously. I had a
previous experience with a 7-string guitar, and I didn't like it at all. But with this babe the things are different, she plays sweet... so comfortable... almost the same feel of a 6 string JEM neck... wider, of course. I'm having no difficulties at all. It's a dream.
Minimal dings here and there, barely noticeable. That piece that stays over the strings on the headstock, almost above the
truss rod cover (I don't know the name of this piece) is missing, see pics. Is this a problem? The guitar stays is in tune very well even without it.
The Lo Pro trem is a tank, rubust. I feel it more solid than the newer Edge Pro, original
Floyd Rose and Schaller (I know these trems). It's not set up properly to my tastes, I'll work on it during the weekend (ooh can't wait!!).
My
JEM 555 BK had to go, but I still say, that's a decent guitar (with the Edge Pro II tremolo, of course). Can't compare to this Matrix-dream, though.
Interestingly, I made
this comment just a few weeks ago. Destiny?
Yeah, honeymoon period, I know. I'm in love. I'M LOVIN TIS GEETAR !!!
