It's a cosmo Original Edge with piezos. The piezos, when activated pick up the signal from pressure at the saddles and give a more "acoustic" sound when playing clean.

I had one in a 620gx. It is no where near as good as the piezo set up in my nite fly, imho. I sold it to a drummer.

so how exactly does this work? I dont see how it would make it sound like an acoustic? any examples?

The saddles have a piezoelectric material that generates an electrical current from pressure differences. When this electrical signal is amplified, it sounds more acoustic, and it is generally only sounds good clean. It has a different clean sound than magnetic pickups.

I would suggest trying to find some soundclips so that you can get an idea as to how it sounds.
