WTF? vwh discontinued?

well, yesterday was a common day for freshmen, so we were out of school. my friend and i had the pleasure of going to our local sam ash, where they had three steve vai sigs(vwh, brmr, and ep7) i had been eyeballing the vwh the whole time we were there( like 3 or 4 hours) and i finally asked a sales guy to get it down for me. while i was plugging in, the guy mentioned that this is the last year for the vwh, and the only ones they will be selling will be the bad horsies. this kind of got lost in my head while i was playing, it was my first time with a vwh. then, when we had to leave, god forbid, it strick me like a boulder. i realized, after trying out all steve vai models, this was the one. but, then the realization came, that, if i didn't get this next week for my birthday, then i may not be able to get on enew again. BUT, i really don't know how much truth there is to this, and i just wanted to put it out in the jemsite community.

I call bull$hit on that one sounds like a salesman pitch to get you to buy it.

you're probably right. but i actually do want to buy it. that's the thing. after lusting for it in pictures, seeing it in real life makes a world of difference. there was also a closeout tag on it. he said that's why that was there. but i didn't completely believe him. why? the VWH has been the most recognizable, the staple of the Jem line since the early ninties. why would steve stop production now? it really doesn't make any sense.
