? from a new member...

ok, I read through the history of the usa custom, usrg, j customs and all that good stuff, but are all rg's prestige. from the website, most of the rg's had prestige logos except the rg170. is this like the squire of ibanez. Is this made in the same plant or elsewhere?

what other series of guitars make up the prestige line...

hope I don't look like a moron

These are all the prestige models, just add the 2 that are on the Double Edge page. All signature models [MIJ] are also considered Prestige.

For the last time, the recent issues of the PGM30 are both Japanese made, and have the Prestige finishing on the neck.

You'll have to ask Paul Gilbert. Much like Vai, PG has 150% control over his signature line. My guess is that Paul doesn't use the trem, so it isn't as crucial to have an edge on the PGM30.

The production model must not bother PG too much, as he has been known to use it for clinics.

Cheers,
Butch
